Fun for all and great place to pan for gold and some camping grounds
This place reminds me of great days of youth. Quite, beautiful and great for children. The family can swim,fish and cookout. Great rates on camping sites,too!! Family traditions are born here.
Me and my wife went camping there this memorial day weekend had a wonderful time just enjoying nature didn't get to see any copperheads though maybe next time lol the camp host was super awesome but the best thing was throughout all the quietness and peace you suddenly heard Taps playing that was the coolest Thanks Stan
Just camped 4 days there. The camp host is super nice and keeps a close eye on everything. There are 23 campsites (first come first serve). They are gravel with tent pads. I took my popup camper and fit fine in the site I picked, however there are about 7 or 8 sites that I wouldn't have tried to back it into (tents only). Community water spigots, and flush toilets in the bathhouse, although the bathhouse in the day-use area is much nicer. Still a great place to camp. For mountain bikers, the Long Cane Horse Trail runs through the park, it's a great single track, 27 mile loop. A lot of fun.
Great fishing, clean primitive campground and peaceful small lake. Nice facility with clean bathhouses and everything is well maintained. Convenient picnic shelters for cookouts with grills as well.
